Today I ran into an old friend from high school.  We talked for 2 hours.  Those were the hours I wanted, no, needed to study.  Oh, well.  Relationships are important too.

Tomorrow Kami, Laura Richards, and I are getting dates and going through a spook alley then out for frozen yogurt.  I only have one problem, getting a date.  Well, it ought to be fun if I can get one.

I just can't seem to get feeling all the way better after my cold.  My stomach and head have been hurting.  Oh, well.

I want to become a more holy person.  More meek, like Christ.  I love life.  There's so much to master and become.

It rained last night and it's wet this morning.  I went and danced under the poplars last night .  I made a list of unique things to do, or at least things that I usually don't do.  This simple event must include at least one family member.  For instance, I'm bringing home pizza tonight.  We'll crank up some fun music and just enjoy ourselves.  I think it will improve our relationship with each other and make life more interesting and enjoyable.

My school classes are fascinating to me.  I have formed study groups which provide social interaction and an incentive to study and keep on top of things.  I want to earn a 4.0 this quarter.

Well, I need to study, donate blood, practice piano, and you can see the rest on my task list.

Having a good day?  I am.  Heavenly Father has blessed me with enough time, patience, and energy to stay on top of my homework.  I thank Him for this and hope it will continue.

I went for a brisk walk this morning for exercise.  My breath left puffs of steam.  I repeated outloud some of the systems and terms I had studied.  The sun rays were just beginning to highlight the mountain tops as Oreo (our dog who's expecting puppies in 2 weeks) and I made our way home.  A walk can cleanse your mind and invigorate the soul!

Mom and Dad went to the temple this morning.  I'm glad.  It's important; I can't wait until I can go.  It will bring a new depth to my life and understanding.

Tonight when I get home from work I'm going to dance among the poplar trees in the moonlight.  Life has so many unique experiences to offer if we will but add them.

On Friday Kami, Kevin Francom, and I went to a dance at USU.  We had a lot of fun, but I felt the atmosphere was not one in which the Spirit could be felt.  I'm trying to live worthy of the constant companionship of the Holy Ghost; therefore, I'm not going to participate in activities that don't help me have good thoughts or feelings.

General Conference was wonderful.  I have so many weaknesses, so much to improve on.  I am grateful for prophets to remind me by example and teaching.

Busy, busy!  I can handle it now.  After all I'm eighteen now!  I can do anything!  I'll be in school from 9-9 today.  Oh, well!  I love it!

My institute teacher is terrific.  He's funny, spiritual, interesting, and caring.  He takes the time to learn all of the hundreds of names of his students and members in his ward.  He's a bishop too.  I want to be as good as he as at making people feel important.

What a wonderful day!  It felt great to get up early and practice the piano and workout in the morning.  I love life!

There's one drawback to writing my journal in my planner.  There's really no room for details like conversations, scenery descriptions, etc.  But I carry this everywhere, so I can write when I get a second.

"You can't know God without experiencing Him by revelation."  I need to be more worthy of the Spirit so I can some to know God.  That is my greatest desire!
