My institute teacher is terrific. He's funny, spiritual, interesting, and caring. He takes the time to learn all of the hundreds of names of his students and members in his ward. He's a bishop too. I want to be as good as he as at making people feel important.
What a wonderful day! It felt great to get up early and practice the piano and workout in the morning. I love life!
There's one drawback to writing my journal in my planner. There's really no room for details like conversations, scenery descriptions, etc. But I carry this everywhere, so I can write when I get a second.
"You can't know God without experiencing Him by revelation." I need to be more worthy of the Spirit so I can some to know God. That is my greatest desire!

I'm excited for school tomorrow. I'm going to be very friendly, especially with the guys, and get study groups going. I want to have lots of guy friends this year and date a lot.
As you can tell from the task list for today and tomorrow I have plenty to keep me hopping.
My bedroom is getting a lot more organized as are the car and book bags.
For really the first time in my life I'm delighted to be me. I'm far from perfect and I'm not a model, but I'm me. I'm good at a lot...

Yesterday and Saturday I went on a date with the same guy. It was fun. I enjoyed it. (11-20-14 P.S.: Notice, I'm not going to gush and get my hopes up. I totally enjoyed the dates and meeting Jaremy, but I wasn't going to expose my heart yet.)
Heavenly Father has given me so many weaknesses and a lot of pride along with them. I feel overwhelmed. But then the scriptures remind me of His love and plan for me. He has provided a perfect example and a way to repent. I'm grateful!
School starts on Wednesday! I'm so excited, but there's tons to do to prepare for it.
Today Mom and Dad took me out for an afternoon lunch on my birthday and shopping in Ogden. I got some new shoes at Payless. They're great! (My parents, I mean! The shoes are too.)

First Date
Written: November 5, 2014
The first time I met Jaremy Butler was on September 23, 1995. I worked at ZCMI in the mall. I brought my little brother and sister, Jacob and Melissa, with me to work. They hung out at the mall while I worked my evening shift. A co-worker came up to me and excitedly told me she had set me up on a blind date for that night. I said my little siblings were with me. She said to just bring them.
Dating was okay, but had seemed superficial up to this point. I went into the dressing room at work and knelt down to pray. I asked Heavenly Father to help me be myself. Of course, Heavenly Father knew of my desire to develop a close friendship with someone worthy, fun, smart, righteous, and amazing. He answered my prayer!
Jake and Melissa were so excited to be going on a date with me. They ended up being great chaperons. Jaremy Butler was my date for the evening. He had longer hair and a goatee. Jaremy and I found we were both the oldest of eight children. We had a lot in common and conversation flowed readily. He quickly won over Jake and Melissa. They thought he was great! So did I! But I didn't dare think much about it.
After we went bowling we said good-bye. As we were heading for the car Jaremy ran out and asked me for my phone number. I was thrilled, but he didn't write it down so I thought he would never call. Little did I know he memorized it because it was just one digit different from his Aunt Mary's number. He called the next day and asked me to a fireside.
When we got home Jake and Melissa gushed to my parents all about Jaremy. They would get a chance to meet him the very next night.
Jaremy invited me to go to a fireside in Logan with him where he would be singing in the choir. A man that sings -- awesome! I thought he wouldn't come all the way to Honeyville from Logan to pick me up. But his family was from the area, so it was no big deal to him.
I met his sister, Rachel, briefly at the fireside. The choir sang a cool, bag pipe version of Praise to the Man. The fireside speaker was Hyrum Smith's great, great grandson or something. He gave an interesting talk about the Prophet, Joseph Smith and his brother while showing some artifacts. I sat alone while Jaremy was in the choir seats.
On the way back to Honeyville we talked and talked. Jaremy was pulled over for speeding on the highway in Deweyville. I thought it was going to ruin the evening and Jaremy would be stressed and ornery. To my surprise and delight, it didn't even phase Jaremy. We just kept talking and laughing while the cop handed him a ticket. What a welcome surprise! I started right then to love how Jaremy handled life. He didn't and doesn't ever have a bad attitude, stress rolls over his back, set backs aren't a big deal. He was and is even tempered, fun to be around, easy going, calm, mature, and calculated. This incident got my attention and my admiration.
When he dropped me off at home Mom and Dad invited him in for ice cream and peaches. We sat in the living room and visited until late. My little brothers and sisters were spying on us the whole time. We discovered Jaremy was very family oriented. I had a great time! My parents were impressed! So was I!

We've been moving Aunt Lorie today and will tomorrow. Uncle Mitch is down in CA attending medical school so he can't help. Aunt Lorie has known they will have to move down there for a long time, but hasn't packed a thing. She worked on her yard instead. Oh, well! Our styles are different I would have started packing the minute I heard of moving instead of waiting until the day of, so everyone else doesn't have to worry about it. Aunt Lorie has been good to help us with the raspberries and I'm sure she wonders why we planted them. I'll miss their family.
I've been so tired lately; I don't know why either. I can't wait until things slow down. Especially for poor Mom; she's worn to a frazzle.

What a day! What a life! So much to do! Oh, well!
Last night on the way home from work I stopped for a train on our road. Our road usually has no traffic, so I was alone in the night. I got out of the car and approached the tracks to wait for the train to pass. The evening was cool around me as the train light became closer and closer. Suddenly it was upon me. The sound overwhelmed me. I could feel the ground rumble and her the tracks hiss. The wind blew hard against me and it kept coming. I turned for but a moment and it was gone. I got back in the car and went home feeling excited.
Isn't it funny how little experiences can add to life!

I need to change my self. I need to be more humble and meek. I need to be less dramatic and be more sincere and mild. I need to purify my thoughts. I need to base my worth on my knowledge of my divine nature. I need to concentrate on on being more Christlike.
I've been given so much. I live in a beautiful place. I have a wonderful family and terrific parents. I've been blessed with an opportunity to get an education and the desire to do so. I have so many comforts and privileges. I'm grateful for them.
I just want to let you know that I know that Heavenly Father and His Son, Jesus Christ, live and love us. I know they want us to return to them and have provided the way by which we can!
